Student Activities
In support of student development, physics study programme provides opportunities for activities beyond the classroom
EXPO PROJECT BASED LEARNING
The Project-Based Learning (PBL) Expo is a showcase of student projects developed through a project-based learning approach. This event serves as a platform for students to present creative and innovative solutions to real-world problems relevant to their field of study, particularly in the practical and applicable implementation of physics concepts. Through this expo, students not only present the final outcomes of their projects but also demonstrate the critical thinking, teamwork, managerial skills, and scientific communication abilities they have developed throughout the learning process.

The Integrated Materials Practicum (SEM, XRD, XRF)
The Integrated Materials Practicum (SEM, XRD, XRF) is a laboratory-based learning activity aimed at equipping students with a solid understanding and practical skills in material characterization. Through direct engagement with real instruments, students not only grasp the theoretical concepts but also gain hands-on experience in operating the equipment and interpreting data scientifically

PHYSICS LAB INTEGRATION (PLI)
Through the Physics Lab Integration program, students are expected to identify potential hazards in the laboratory environment and apply safe and responsible working procedures. In addition, they are equipped with ethical principles in conducting research, including academic integrity, scientific honesty, and social responsibility. This activity also trains students to conduct literature reviews effectively, critically, and relevantly as a foundation for experimental design and scientific writing.

EXPO MBKM
The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Expo is a platform for appreciating and disseminating students’ achievements in various MBKM programs, whether organized by the ministry, the university, or external partners. This event serves as a showcase for students’ diverse learning experiences, including internships, research projects, teaching assistance, student exchanges, entrepreneurship, and humanitarian projects. Through the MBKM Expo, students are given the opportunity to present the outcomes of their MBKM projects carried out during off-campus programs

Matriculation
As part of our commitment to supporting the smooth learning process of new students, the matriculation program is designed to strengthen the fundamental knowledge relevant to their chosen field of study. This program aims to equalize students’ initial understanding, reinforce their basic competencies, and equip them with the academic skills necessary to succeed in higher education. In addition, students are introduced to the academic system, attendance requirements, the study program’s vision and mission, graduate learning outcomes, and the curriculum structure.

Field Practicum
This activity is designed to provide students with direct experience in observing, analyzing, and solving real-world problems in the field that are relevant to their area of study.
Through field practicum, students are not only expected to apply theories learned in the classroom but also to develop practical skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and sensitivity to the environmental and social conditions surrounding the study area. it serves as an important medium to strengthen conceptual understanding and bridge the academic world with real needs in society and the professional field

Faculty Open Day
Physics Expo is a platform for appreciating and expressing student innovation in implementing physics concepts into real, applicable, and inspiring works.
Through the Physics Expo, students are given the opportunity to showcase their projects, research, and prototypes related to the application of physics in daily life, industry, education, and the environment. This event also serves as an interactive medium for students, lecturers, and the public to share knowledge, ideas, and science-based solutions.
The theme of this year’s expo is Sports Physics.

Industrial Field Study
Industrial Field Study is a form of contextual learning organized by the Physics Study Program to strengthen the link between the academic world and the industrial sector. This activity is designed to provide students with direct insight into the application of scientific knowledge—particularly in the fields of physics and applied science—within real industrial processes and the professional work environment.
