Pontianak – On Friday, 13 June 2025, the Physics Study Programme of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Tanjungpura, held a Project-Based Learning (PBL) Expo at the Basic Physics Laboratory. The event was attended by 70 students enrolled in various modules including Energy, Experimental Physics, Molecular Simulation, Physics 2B, Instrumentation, and Functional Materials Physics.
The PBL Expo served as a platform for students to present the results of their project-based learning activities developed throughout the semester. Each group showcased projects that combined fundamental physics concepts with real-world applications in a contextual and creative manner, according to the focus of their respective modules.
This activity aimed to strengthen students’ skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific communication, while also fostering collaboration and creativity in applying physics to practical challenges.
In addition to being a moment of reflection and appreciation for students’ learning achievements, the expo also served as a promotional event for the Physics Study Programme through the tangible work and innovations produced by its students.
Through this PBL Expo, it is hoped that students will be increasingly motivated to develop their academic and innovative potential in addressing real-world challenges in the field of physics and its applications.
