Student Association

The Student Association is Under the Supervision of The Physics Student Union (HIMAFI)

Public Speaking Training (PST)

Public Speaking Training is one of the student soft skill development programs organized by the Physics Student Association. This activity aims to enhance students’ verbal communication skills, boost their self-confidence, and improve their presentation abilities in both academic and non-formal settings.

The theme of this activity was “Mastering the Art of Speaking,” reflecting the goal of equipping participants with the essential techniques and mindset to speak effectively and persuasively in public.

Physics Sport

In addition to playing a role in human resource development and supporting academic activities, the Physics Student Association (HIMAFI) also organizes a regular sports activity called Physics Sport.

This activity is held monthly as an effort to maintain physical health, strengthen relationships among students, and foster a spirit of sportsmanship and togetherness within the department.

Physics Sport serves as a positive outlet for students to relieve stress from academic routines while building solidarity among HIMAFI members and physics students in general.

(ACTION IN ORGANIZATION (ION) X PROTONS

Action in Organization is a program designed by the Physics Student Association (HIMAFI) as a tangible initiative to strengthen organizational quality. This program focuses on internal capacity building through activities that train leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

The Organizational Talent Orientation Program aims to introduce new students to the HIMAFI organizational environment while also exploring their potential and interest in student organizations. Through a series of orientation activities, basic training, and character development, students are encouraged to build confidence, take on roles, and actively contribute to the organization’s growth.

Training for physicists (PUSAKA)

PUSAKA, or Pelatihan untuk Fisikawan (Training for Physicists), is an orientation and introductory program organized by the Physics Student Association (HIMAFI) for new students. Through PUSAKA, first-year students are provided with a foundational understanding of physics as a discipline, insights into campus life, and essential organizational and academic values to support their journey throughout university life.

Moreover, PUSAKA places strong emphasis on fostering a sense of kinship among members of the physics community, especially in building closeness and solidarity among peers within the same cohort

Physics Design Training

In an effort to support the development of students’ non-academic skills, the Physics Student Association (HIMAFI) organized a Graphic Design Training program open to all physics students. This activity aims to equip students with basic skills in visual design, particularly those related to organizational needs such as creating posters, pamphlets, presentations, and social media content.

Physics Go To School (PGTS)

As an active contribution in introducing the field of physics to the wider community, the Physics Student Association (HIMAFI) organized the PGTS (Physics Goes to School) program. This activity involves direct visits to secondary schools with the main goal of introducing physics in a fun and practical way to students.

Through PGTS, the program is expected to broaden students’ understanding of the importance of physics in everyday life while also increasing their interest in pursuing physics as a field of study in higher education.

Training and Mentoring (TAM)

As an effort to improve the academic quality of student resources, the Physics Student Association (HIMAFI) organizes an Academic Guidance and Mentoring Program targeted at physics students.

This program aims to assist students in understanding course materials through structured and regular study sessions. The materials covered include various core subjects within the physics study program.
