Pontianak – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Tanjungpura, held the Yudisium Ceremony for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Graduates, Period IV of 2025 on Monday, 28 July 2025, at the Kalimantan Ballroom, Aston Hotel Pontianak. This event marked a significant milestone as graduates were officially recognised for completing their studies.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr Gusrizal, M.Si., emphasised the importance of not only developing hard skills, but also strengthening soft skills, such as communication, leadership, and teamwork. He highlighted that in today’s increasingly competitive job market, a combination of technical ability and interpersonal competence is essential for building a successful career and making meaningful contributions to society.
From the Physics Study Programme, four students were conferred their degrees:
- M. Haykal Hafiz Azwan, S.Si.
- Alphi Praja Andika, S.Si.
- Robin Mahendra, S.Si.
- Teofilipus Dawar, S.Si.
The ceremony was attended by Heads of Departments and Programme Coordinators within FMIPA, members of the FMIPA Senate, faculty leadership, as well as a representative from the Universitas Tanjungpura Rectorate, Prof. Dr Dra Siti Khotimah, M.Si., who currently serves as Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies at Untan. Proud parents of the graduates were also present to witness the special occasion.
The atmosphere of the event was solemn and celebratory, serving as both a conclusion to the students’ academic journey and a new beginning as they move forward to contribute to the world beyond university.
